Karate Test

After being in karate since May, I got to test for my first belt-Tiny Tiger Belt #1!  I tested with five other older kids (6 & 7).  The test lasted for over an hour.  I was tired when it ended.

Sensei started us with exercises.  We had to run around the dojo.
And do punches.  I am on the far right.
We worked on our form....
We had to sit and listen too.
We had to get our gear on for sparring.
I practiced my punches as I watched the other kids.
We had to jump.  Look how high I can go!
We all got to work with Sensei.
Sensei ended up telling positive things about each of us.  He will have my new belt waiting for me when I come to class Tuesday.  I can't wait!

Mom had to film this through a window.

Dancing to Madonna

My Dad played a new artist for me-Madonna.  Cousin Maddox and I decided to dance!

King Tut Exhibit

Mom was super excited about going to see the King Tut exhibit.  She really wanted for me to see a mummy. Since I find monsters (a mummy is in that category) interesting, I decided to humor her.
How could I tell her no?  She looked so happy.
There were a lot of items made of stone.
This is a cat sarcophagus.
There was jewelry.....
An archaeologist's tent....

Here are some of the amazing things in King Tut's tomb...but then we ended up in the gift shop.  Mom looked kind of mad-there was no mummy.  No King Tut.  They should have called the exhibit: "King Tut's things."
I said: "Mom, how about some fiberglass Egyptian statues?" She was not interested in those.
Outside the gift shop we found this:
A replica of King Tut's remains.
There was also an interactive camera of what look like the actual tomb in the Valley of the Kings.

Vista House & Multnomah Falls

I felt A LOT better this morning.  My parents kept making me drink....a little too much.  After a late breakfast we drove along the Columbia River Gorge-first stop-Vista House.
What a view!
Vista was built during the FDR work program days.

It was a very charming building.
After a balcony view, we got back in the car to go to Multnomah Falls.
There I am.
My parents convinced me to do the 1 mile uphill climb to the top of the falls.

I did ok until about halfway up-then the whining started.

I got dad to carry me.
I made it to the top of the falls and now I am looking down the 500+ feet to the bottom.

The top of the falls.

I had to take a break before walking down.
It was MUCH easier going down.
Picture with Mom.
At the bottom, I got a giant cookie.  I am glad to be back home!

Legacy Mount Hood Hospital ER

I woke up at 11:15pm and started crying.  I was having cramps, feeling nauseous and shaking.  So my parents took me to the local ER.

We had to wait a little while to get in.  I was so tired.  I finally got to see a doctor around 1:00am.  My parents suspected dehydration.  The doctor thought so too.  It was ALL that running around the Portland Zoo!
I got some medicine and Gator Aid.  I was finally ready to go back to bed at Edgefield.
We made it back into bed around 3:00am.

Edgefield

This is where Mom and Dad got married.  I just wanted to relax-not hear about old memories!
The room was nice and big.
Mom and Dad wanted to walk around.

After we ate, we went to the soaking pool.
It was warm salt water.
I was really tired and was ready for bed at 8:30!
