Water Land Parade 2015!

The 3rd weekend of July, Des Moines puts on the Water Land Parade as a sub-event during Seattle's SeaFair festivities.  I have been going to this parade for years and I have always enjoyed it.  My parents and I walk the 1-1/2 miles to get there.
Rowan under a Rowan Tree or an Eastern Mountain Ash!

 Santa in summer
Dad and I in front of the Scotch and the Vine.
A bunch of guys balancing on top of each other while riding a motorcycle!
The SeaFair Pirates!  They always shoot their little cannon!

I got kind of hot and hungry.  I wasn't excited about the food at the Scotch and the Vine.  It's a little too grown up for my taste.  I wasn't as excited about the parade this year.

Water Land Parade

Mom tells me that this parade was not done for years and was brought back to life by her friend Toni.  This is the first year that Des Moines has taken it over.  We decided to go since it has been a favorite activity of mine.
We sat at The Scotch and the Vine.  My parents think parades are more fun with alcohol.  I prefer cotton candy.  Grandma Judy sat on the other side of the flags with me.
 Finally the parade started!
We had a Navy Band.  They were really good.
We saw retired pirates-after long lives of doing no good, settling down at Wesley Homes.
This was grandma's first Water Land Parade.  She looked like she was having fun.
There were several drill teams.  I liked their whistles!
The airport "Toe" truck!

Local High Schools' band and floats.  Oh there were lots of beauty queens, and Washington State elected officials.
Look!  It's Santa!  I always wondered what he did in the summer.
I meat a Seafiar Pirate! (not retired)  He gave me a coin.
Here is the Seafair Pirates' ship-Moby Duck.
On the walk home, we got mauled by a bronze bear.  We are ok!  I had fun.

Party at the Tag Zone!

I had my 6th birthday party at the Tag Zone.  It's a really fun nerf gun shooting event in a cool warehouse.  I invited all my friends from, school, preschool, the neighborhood, karate, & swimming.

Not only did the kids play, but so did their parents.  It was a blast!  I had so much fun!
We did have to stop and sing "Happy Birthday", and eat a cupcake.

At the end we did a big group picture.  It was the best time ever!
