Marra Farm

Marra Farm is an urban farm located in south Seattle.  Our whole school went yesterday morning in the rain.

We all met up under a shelter.
Sylas and I goofed around with his hat.
We learned that Marra Farm grows food for poor people and it provides land for others to grow their own vegetables.
We all got to harvest a carrot.  Mine is in the lower left corner.
I had to clean my carrot before I could eat it.
It was really wrinkly and I had a hard time getting the dirt off.  I ended up not eating my carrot.  Mom did
Mom saw this cool house at the edge of the farm.
I really liked the chicken.  I got to pet it and it laid an egg.
I was ready to go after the chickens.  It kept raining, and I was done.
Here is my good friend Andy.  We left soon after this photo back to school.

Adventure Park and too many princesses!

In Disney's California Adventure there was an "Adventure Park".  I liked this place because it was for active children.  My parents liked this because it was really close to our hotel.  We got to walk on these rope floors...
 climb walls....
and do a zip line!  Fun!
After that, we had a Princess Lunch at Ariel's Grotto.  We did not actually  have the princesses for lunch, they just visited while we were eating.  My parent's preferred in this park because alcohol was served.

Me and Ariel (I didn't like her movie either...)
Here's Belle, I do like her.
Snow is ok too.  She was stupid for eating that apple, fortunately, it turned out ok for her.
Sleeping Beauty-not a favorite.  Too bad Elsa couldn't make it.....
and Cinderella.  Fortunately, it was over after an hour.

Disneyland Likes and Dislikes

We stayed at this awesome hotel called the Grand Californian.  It was all in the Craftsman Style.  We ate a lot at the Storyteller's Cafe, located in this hotel.  I LIKED the Storyteller's Cafe.  They made great allergy free pancakes!  Thank you Disneyland chefs.  I also liked this place because I got to hug
 bears!
raccoons and chipmunks.  I never got tired of this.  After breakfast, we did the Indiana Jones' ride.  I did NOT  LIKE this ride.  Too scary, and I felt like I was going to throw up again.  I didn't mind The Pirates of the Caribbean.
We went on The Columbia (a replica).  I did LIKE this.  This was a ship that sailed around South America to the Pacific NW in the late 1700's, about 20 years before Lewis & Clark.

At the pink castle with Mom.  Did I mention that there are a ton of princesses here!
By the time we made it into the castle, Dad and I were tired.  We sat under a picture of Sleeping Beauty.  As far as princesses go, she is on the "lame" list.  I couldn't watch her movie because it bored me to death.
Even though it was 90 degrees, we found some "Frozen" areas.

I DID LIKE It's a Small World.  I went on that ride about three times.  After this, we took a break.

Car's Land at California Adventure

Before we left on our vacation, Mom researched Car's Land and found out the best ride was Radiator Springs Racers.  We were one of the first people admitted to the park. (Yes, we saw the sun rise while we were waiting for the gates to open.)
People started running towards Car's Land, because it was fun and our feet didn't hurt yet by all the walking.  Car's Land looked just like in the movie. (The "Cars" movie-It was a favorite of mine when I was a lot younger.)  As you can see, Lightning McQueen was slowing us down, so little kids would not be trampled!
The Cozy Cone Motel owned by Sally, the blue Porsche.
 Casa della Tires
Flo's V8 Cafe (The menu did not look allergy friendly, so we never ate here.)
 Red the fire engine

Here's what the cars look like in the ride (Radiator Spring Racers)
 Our car was green.
I am excited!  Second ride ever!
I liked the ride in the beginning.  We saw Lightening & Mater....but when it came to the racing part, I felt like I was going to throw up.  Not what I would call fun.  I decided NOT to go on this ride again.
I got to touch Mater.
I DID like the Flying Tires ride that you got to through Casa Della Tires.  They were mini hover crafts!  Cool!  I went on this ride about 5 times.

Disneyland! Waiting!

Finally, my parents decided to take me to Disneyland on October 5th.  It was a long day of waiting at the airport, waiting for the plane, waiting for the plane to land in California, waiting to get the bus to the Disneyland Resort, waiting to get into the theme park and then waiting in line to see the Haunted mansion.  Uhg!  A boy needs much more action than waiting!
Finally!  We made it into the park!.  Unfortunately, there was a parade on Main Street and we couldn't get through.
Mom thought of the train station and we went up the stairs to wait for our ride.  Mom pointed out that we had been on a plane, train, car, and bus.  All we needed was a boat!
I'm here!  At the Haunted Mansion!  My first ride at Disneyland.  It's really HOT and there are tons of people here!

I'm closer to the house, but still waiting! How much longer?  I'm not sure that I can keep this smile on my face........
Still waiting....
This line is still crazy!  After we go on the ride, my parents looked a little disappointed.  They said that it was different from last time.  Too Nightmare Before Christmas....it lost some of the magic.  After that, we went to The Blue Bayou for dinner, and even though we had a reservation, we had to......
WAIT!!!!!!!
