Vista House & Multnomah Falls

I felt A LOT better this morning.  My parents kept making me drink....a little too much.  After a late breakfast we drove along the Columbia River Gorge-first stop-Vista House.
What a view!
Vista was built during the FDR work program days.

It was a very charming building.
After a balcony view, we got back in the car to go to Multnomah Falls.
There I am.
My parents convinced me to do the 1 mile uphill climb to the top of the falls.

I did ok until about halfway up-then the whining started.

I got dad to carry me.
I made it to the top of the falls and now I am looking down the 500+ feet to the bottom.

The top of the falls.

I had to take a break before walking down.
It was MUCH easier going down.
Picture with Mom.
At the bottom, I got a giant cookie.  I am glad to be back home!

Legacy Mount Hood Hospital ER

I woke up at 11:15pm and started crying.  I was having cramps, feeling nauseous and shaking.  So my parents took me to the local ER.

We had to wait a little while to get in.  I was so tired.  I finally got to see a doctor around 1:00am.  My parents suspected dehydration.  The doctor thought so too.  It was ALL that running around the Portland Zoo!
I got some medicine and Gator Aid.  I was finally ready to go back to bed at Edgefield.
We made it back into bed around 3:00am.

Edgefield

This is where Mom and Dad got married.  I just wanted to relax-not hear about old memories!
The room was nice and big.
Mom and Dad wanted to walk around.

After we ate, we went to the soaking pool.
It was warm salt water.
I was really tired and was ready for bed at 8:30!

The Portland Zoo

If you have followed my blog for the last couple of years, you would know that Zoo's spell trouble for me.  In the past, I have done two nasty face plants at the Salt Lake City Zoo, and the Tacoma Zoo...Nothing actually happened at the Portland Zoo, it happened much later.....
It started out well, a nice  cool Monday.  Mom, Dad and I went to meet their friends from Sweden, Magnus & Maia and their daughters, Elsa & Scarlette.
I found plenty of things to climb.

We got to feed the birds...
I got the camera-Here are Elsa & Scarlette.
There's most of dad, mom, Magnus, Maia, Elsa, & Scarlette.
Here we are having one last drink before we say goodbye.  We spent 3-1/2 hours running around the zoo.  I had a good time, but I was tired and ready to go to our hotel and have a rest.  Too bad Elsa and Scarlette live so far away.

Dance Portrait

I finally got my professional photos from the ballet I was in a month ago.  Here it is!  Unfortunately, Mom cannot post the one of me and all the ballerinas since she does not have permission form their parents.

Road Trip!

The Mover's came to my grandparents's house on a really hot day.  (It got to 108 degrees).  It was exciting to see the big truck and the movers.
When the packing was all done and the house clean.  Grandma, Mom and I drove to see some really old friends of my mother's in Chico.  They had a pool and a ten year old son, Raul, that was so much fun!
The next morning, we drove to Ashland, Oregon.
We had lunch the the creek.  I ordered a cheese quesadilla.  Unfortunately, it came on a bright red tortilla.  I do not eat bright red tortillas.  They did not have normal colored ones.  Alas....
We did enjoy walking around Ashland and I got some more Marble Works to add to my existing set.
Oregon got a little too long.  I fell asleep playing my Nintendo.  Look, I am still holding it, even though Mom put it away.   After a stop at the University of Oregon Bookstore and a night in Portland.  We got home Saturday before lunch.
I am glad to be back in the cool Seattle summer weather.  I told Mom. that I did not want to go on another road trip.

Cousin Max

Mom and I flew down to California to see some family and help my grandparents move out of their home.  Here is cousin Max.  He is 15 months younger than I am.
Tha-tha pulled us to the local park.  Man, it was HOT-in the high 90's.  I managed to acclimate better than my mother.

I had a good time at the park.
That's my cousin Drew.  He's not very much fun right now.
When we got home, I shared my marble works with Max.  I think he liked them.
