Mt. Rainier-Paradise

My cousins from Chicago came for a visit.  Their first day, we took them the Mt. Rainier.
Uncle Colin took lots of pictures of us with his big camera.

 The alpine flowers were blooming.
At the visitor center we found a cool model of Mt. Rainier.
We did climb up behind the visitor center for awhile.  I needed lots of breaks .

When we finally decided to stop going up.  Jack and I took a picture with Tha tha. (Gavin did not make it up as far.)
I was happy to walk back down.  We went and got a cool drink.
Mom wanted us to see the historic Paradise Lodge next door.

This was the most impressive smile that I could muster.  I was really tired.  We had a two hour drive home.

Hot for here!

Summer smacked Seattle hard at the end of June.  With temperatures in the upper 80's-low 90's.  Like most homes in the Pacific NW, we do not have air conditioning.  Fortunately, it does cool off at night.   Mom says that we have it better than other places across the country.  Well, I have been keeping cool.  Daily swimming sure does help.
I am working hard to get into level 3.  My backstroke needs a little work.

I am still taking swim class with my friend Jaylon.  We have been taking class together since last September.
I am getting ready to go to the water park to meet my karate buddy, Arun.  Mom needs to put on sun screen.
Arun kept getting cold and would stand out in the sun.  I tried to entertain him with my dancing.

I had a really good time!  So good, I am going back today!

Arun and I will do this an hour before karate today.  I cannot
wait!

Party at the Tag Zone!

I had my 6th birthday party at the Tag Zone.  It's a really fun nerf gun shooting event in a cool warehouse.  I invited all my friends from, school, preschool, the neighborhood, karate, & swimming.

Not only did the kids play, but so did their parents.  It was a blast!  I had so much fun!
We did have to stop and sing "Happy Birthday", and eat a cupcake.

At the end we did a big group picture.  It was the best time ever!

Last Day of School

The last day of school happened to fall on my 6th birthday.  Dad took the day off to celebrate with me. School was meeting at Seahurst Beach, in Burien.

I got to play with all my friends.  That's me in the grey.
Dad played with my friends too.
After school ended.  I got to go pick out my birthday present at Toys R Us.  I wanted this Mario racing track.  Mom was surprised how BIG it ended up being.  It was a good low key day.  My parties are going to happen tomorrow, on June 8th.

Snoqualmie Falls

My parents have gotten it in their head that they want to do more exploring on the weekends.  This means, throwing me in the car and driving somewhere green.  This weekend, we went to Snoqualmie Falls.  Unfortunately the lower trail, down to the river was closed.  It is under renovation.

I managed to have a good time.
I found some rocks to climb on.
Dad showed me the view since I was having a hard time seeing it.
Here is the river below.  Next time we come, we will definitely walk down.
I did get a rainbow lollipop at the gift shop!

Goju Competition Day 2013

My Dojo had a Competition Day 2013!
I participated in three events with my fellow Tiny Tiger Nathaniel.  We were the two youngest participants.  I did flag sparring, katas, & wrestling.

Nathaniel and I are flag sparring above.  He is really good and came first in this competition.
We had to wait before we started our katas.
After we did our katas, Sensei and the judges discussed and ranked our forms.  I won this event!

Then it was wrestling.  I really enjoy doing this.  Nathaniel was very competitive and I had to work very hard to get the gold medal.  I managed to win even though I was the underdog!
My parents were very proud of me and I got some awesome medals!
