Planning a Party!

My birthday in June 7th-but I am having a party on June 9th because it is a Saturday.  Mom tired to convince me to have Ninja Party! But, I was not interested.  I wanted a Zombie Party!
Mom and I had to check out a bunch of Halloween Party books to get some ideas.  Halloween is really seasonal, so we will have to make a lot of stuff.  We plan on serving "dirt" (crushed oreo cookies, chocolate pudding and gummi worms), as well as finger shaped sandwiches.
Instead of cake, we will make eyeball cupcakes.  Mom and I made some fondant for the actual eyeballs.
Making fondant was harder that we both originally thought.....If they don't turn out, we will have to use gum drops like in the picture above.
Instead of party bags full of crap, Mom has decided to make everyone a zombie T-shirt.  These are for the girls-Mom is still working on them.
Boys will get a classic zombie.  The party is themed: "Run for you life! Zombie escape!" Dad has been building an obstacle course in the yard to help train my friends and myself to get away from potential zombies. And we will have individual pinatas so the four pieces of candy will not happen again!
We got some life sized zombie targets from the shooting range to put up in some special places.  Mom also ordered a brain jello mold and ice cube makers.  It should be interesting.  More on this in about 12 days.......

The Last Days of Pre School

My time at Darcy Read Cooperative Pre School is quickly coming to an end.  Mom tells me that I will be going to a new school, The Bridge School this fall for kindergarten.  So I am enjoying my old friends and looking forward to summer.  ( The beginning of summer means: BIRTHDAY!)  Before this picture (I'm on the left wearing blue rain pants, yellow boots, and a buffalo plaid pull over) happened-we met as a class to discuss the rules at the beach.
Teacher Shannon asked what are the rules at the beach?  Kids in our class said: No littering, no hurting animals we find on the beach (crabs), and definitely, no smoking!
I was kind of listening.....
On the beach, I jumped in and out of the water and did a little digging in the sand.
I did have fun with my friends.
I'll be back.  This park is so close to where I live.

My Special Day Show & Tell

I brought hex bugs to show and tell on my special day.  Mom also handed out lollipops.

A lesson from Olivia's Party

Over all, I had a great time at Olivia's party.  I did however not enjoy the pinata because I only got four pieces of candy.  For my party in June-everyone will have their own mini pinata's so this doesn't happen to them.....

Olivia's Birthday

Last weekend, Mom's birthday was really dull.  She was working on the garden with Grandma Judy.  Fortunately, my friend Olivia was celebrating her 5th birthday.  Dad took me to the party.
Olivia had an awesome back yard.
I fished with Madeleine.
We ran wacky races and hit a pinata.  I only got four pieces, so I started crying! (That's me in the orange shorts,)
I looked angry while I was eating cake for some reason.  I had a really good time.  The party went for three hours and Dad had a hard time to get me to go home.
Mom made Olivia a felted unicorn.  Olivia said it was her favorite gift.

Goju Karate Center

My parents finally found me a karate class to join.  I was really excited.  My first lesson was just myself and Sensei Jessie.  I did get to watch a class a couple of days prior to this event, and that made me want to join.  There was only one girl in the class-very different from dance.
Sensei gave me a new gi to put on.  It fit really well.
Sensei and I moved into the class room.  My  parents had to stay in the waiting room and watch through the windows.  I asked a lot of questions, but Sensei Jessie said that I had good focus.
My parents brought me back Saturday for my first class in the Tiny Tigers.  I had to wait about 15 minutes for class to start.  My parents told me that I was complaining a lot.  It was hard to wait.  I am a man of action!
Finally class started!
There were three other boys.
There were obstacle courses and we got to do punching and kicking.  I want to sign up full time!  Next class is Tuesday!  I can't wait!
