Montague Farm comes to the Bridge School

Mom's friend, Vicki Eberhart, owner of Montague Farm came to visit the Bridge School today.  Vicki is a fiber farmer, that raises angora rabbits and sheep to make awesome yarn. Her farm is located in NE Washington State in the Okanagan Mountain Range. Her yarns are known as Bunny Gold.

 It was really exciting that Vicki brought a mother angora rabbit (Alexis) and her baby (Silky).

Vicki held Alexis, and demonstrated hand cutting her fur and also using an electric clipper.

Angora fur and roving was passed around in the basket, it was very soft.

Vicki, also spun some yarn on an electric spinner.

There's the baby-Silky!  SO CUTE!!!!

At the end of her presentation, she let me, and all of the other children pet Alexis.  It was fun!

Read Across America Day!

This past Monday (March 3rd), we were to come to school as our favorite storybook character and bring that book.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do.  One of my favorite books is: Zombies Hate Stuff by Greg Stones.  Another is: Zombiekins by Kevin Bolger.  Mom wasn't surprised.  She wanted me to choose so that she could make a costume.  

After thinking about it, I chose Unikitty from the Lego Movie!  Mom was surprised!  Unikitty is all happy and rainbows, and has nothing to do with the undead.  This is what Mom made me:

Here were the books that everyone brought.  My classmates were dressed up as faeries, Nancy Drew, Tin Tin and more.  It was a fun literary day.

I recently read another story that I wrote at school. My stories always have a lot of action. This one is about a knight.

Ice Skating

I finally got the chance to ice skate.  I kept falling so I used a walker.  I do not think that I will do this again any time soon.

The Lego Movie excitement!

With the money I got from Christmas (From Great Aunt Sandra & Uncle Ron, Aunt Kelly & Uncle Shanth) I was able to purchase some Lego Movie Sets!  The movie does not come out until early February and I cannot wait!!!  I usually do not like going to movies because they require a lot of sitting.

 I am finally old enough to build things without much assistance from my Mom.

PIG PUPPET!  I love this pig, his name is Jeffery.

I haven't been so excited about a toy in a long time.  Mom is going to knit him a "J" sweater to match my "R" sweater.
